Ingredients

Chicken and Sauce

  • 24 ounces frozen crispy boneless chicken bites (such as Tyson Anytizers)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Frank’s RedHot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Buns and Toppings

  • 12 count Hawaiian rolls
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 ounces dill pickle chips

Instructions

  1. Cook Chicken: Cook 24 ounces of frozen crispy boneless chicken bites in the air fryer or oven according to the package instructions until they are heated through and crispy.
  2. Prepare Buns: Slice the 12 count Hawaiian rolls horizontally, removing the entire top layer and setting it aside.
  3. Make Garlic Mayo: Mix ¼ cup mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon garlic powder and spread this mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the buns.
  4. Set Aside Bun Tops: Replace the top section of the rolls and then separate into individual buns. Remove and set aside the top half of each bun separately.
  5. Prepare Hot Honey Sauce: Melt 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter and place in a bowl large enough for tossing the chicken. Stir in ¼ cup honey, 2 tablespoons Frank’s RedHot sauce, 1 teaspoon paprika, and 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper until combined.
  6. Coat Chicken: Add the cooked chicken bites to the bowl with the hot honey sauce and gently toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
  7. Assemble Sliders: Evenly distribute the coated chicken on the bottom halves of the buns, tearing larger pieces of chicken if necessary to fit the bun size.
  8. Add Pickles and Top: Place dill pickle chips on top of the chicken, then replace the top halves of each bun.
  9. Serve: Serve the sliders immediately for best flavor and texture.
  10. Alternate Assembly: If preferred, leave the rolls attached and spread the garlic mayo on the bottom half. Add coated chicken, top with pickles, then place the top half of the rolls back on. Use a sharp knife to cut the sliders apart for serving.

Notes

  • You can cook the chicken using either an air fryer or an oven depending on your preference and package instructions.
  • Adjust the cayenne pepper to control the heat level of the hot honey sauce.
  • For extra crispiness, you can toast the buns lightly before assembly.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and enjoyed the next day, but the buns might lose some softness.
  • These sliders are great for parties and can be served with additional dipping sauces if desired.
