Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (fresh or thawed if frozen)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Optional: pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or 1 tbsp white wine

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise. Gently pull the meat out and rest it on top of the shell while keeping it attached at the base.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 1–2 minutes to blend flavors.
  4. Brush the lobster meat generously with the garlic butter and place tails on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10–12 minutes, basting with butter halfway through, until meat is opaque and slightly firm.
  6. Remove from oven, spoon over remaining butter, and garnish with parsley and a squeeze of lemon before serving.

Notes

  • Broil instead of bake for a crisp finish—6–8 minutes under high broil.
  • Add white wine to the butter for a richer sauce.
  • Top with grated Parmesan for a cheesy twist.
  • Use red pepper flakes or cayenne for added heat.
  • Reheat gently in foil-wrapped tails at 300°F to avoid rubbery texture.
