Ingredients

Slider Assembly

  • 1 pkg. PERDUE® Crispy Chicken Strips
  • 1 pkg. 12 slider buns
  • 1 (23-oz.) jar low sodium marinara sauce
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese, cut into 24 squares

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp. garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Spoon: Place the slider bun bottoms in a greased 13 x 9 casserole dish. Spoon 1 tablespoon of marinara sauce over each slider bottom to add moisture and flavor to the base.
  2. Fit: Cut each crispy chicken strip to fit the size of the slider bun bottoms. Place the chicken pieces on top of the sauce-covered buns. Then spoon the remaining marinara sauce evenly over the chicken. Add 2 mozzarella cheese squares on top of each chicken piece, and cover with the slider bun tops.
  3. Melt: In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter with chopped garlic and dried oregano over low heat. Stir until fragrant and well combined. Brush this melted garlic butter mixture evenly over the slider tops. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the butter-coated buns for added flavor and a golden crust.
  4. Serve: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the assembled sliders in the greased casserole dish for about 10 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through and the cheese has melted completely. Serve the Chicken Parmesan Sliders warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • You can prepare these sliders ahead of time and bake just before serving for convenience.
  • Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for a stronger and fresher flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of marinara sauce based on your preference for sauciness.
  • For a spicier twist, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
  • Ensure the chicken strips are fully cooked before assembling to avoid undercooked meat.
