Blue Tea Latte made with butterfly pea flowers, creamy milk, and a hint of vanilla. A stunning and refreshing drink that is perfect for cozy mornings or aesthetic iced beverages.
1 tablespoon dried butterfly pea flowers
1 cup hot water
1/3 cup ice-cold whole milk (or oat/almond for dairy-free)
1 tablespoon vanilla syrup (adjust to taste)
Ice cubes
Steep the butterfly pea flowers in hot water for 5–7 minutes until a deep blue color forms. Strain and let the tea cool slightly.
In a blender or using a frother, mix the cold milk and vanilla syrup for about 10 seconds until smooth and slightly foamy.
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour in the cooled blue tea.
Gently pour or spoon the vanilla cold foam over the top to create layers.
Serve immediately and enjoy as-is or stir for a creamy blend.
Add a squeeze of lemon for a magical color change from blue to purple.
Adjust sweetness by increasing or reducing vanilla syrup.
Use plant-based milk for a dairy-free version.
Best served fresh for optimal color and texture.
