Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles (jimmies, quins, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles, reserving some for topping.
  7. Scoop dough into balls and place 2 inches apart on baking sheets.
  8. Press extra chips and sprinkles on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are golden and centers look slightly underbaked.
  10. Cool on pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
