Make viral Trader Joe’s dumpling bake for cozy nights in with crispy baked potstickers smothered in creamy Thai curry and Soyaki sauce.
1 package gyoza-style potstickers (frozen, ready-to-use)
1/2 cup Soyaki sauce (substitute teriyaki sauce if needed)
1/2 cup Thai-style red curry sauce (any brand works)
1 can coconut milk (or 3/4 cup milk + 1/4 cup yogurt)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup fresh cilantro (optional)
2 green onions, sliced
1 tablespoon crunchy chili onion or chili crisp (optional, for extra heat)
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the Soyaki sauce, Thai-style red curry sauce, coconut milk, minced garlic, and water until smooth and combined.
Arrange the frozen gyoza-style potstickers in a large baking dish in a single layer.
Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the dumplings.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30–40 minutes.
Remove the foil, garnish with fresh cilantro, sliced green onions, and optional crunchy chili onion before serving.
Sauce Variations: Swap Thai red curry sauce with green curry, peanut sauce, or even sweet chili sauce for a different flavor profile.
Extra Veggies: Add bell peppers, snap peas, or baby corn to the baking dish for a heartier meal.
Crispy Finish: For slightly crispier dumplings, uncover the dish for the last 5–10 minutes of baking.
Make Ahead: You can assemble the bake in advance and refrigerate before baking; just add an extra 5–10 minutes to cooking time if baking from cold.
Spice Level: Adjust the chili onion or chili crisp to taste; omit entirely for a milder dish.
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave until warmed through.
