Stuffed Italian Sausage filled with melty mozzarella and baked in rich marinara sauce. This easy cheesy sausage dinner is packed with bold Italian flavor and perfect for weeknight meals.
6 uncooked Italian sausage links
6 mozzarella cheese sticks
1 cup marinara sauce
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Using a knife or kitchen scissors, carefully slice down one side of each sausage, cutting halfway through but not all the way.
Insert one mozzarella stick into each slit. Gently press the sausage back into shape to enclose the cheese.
Spread marinara sauce evenly across the bottom of a baking dish.
Arrange sausages in the dish, cut side facing up.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes, until sausages are fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and lightly golden.
Serve hot with extra marinara if desired.
