Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye, strip, or filet mignon steaks
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season steaks with salt, pepper, and a bit of Cajun seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steaks for 3–5 minutes per side to desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
  3. Add 1 tbsp butter to the same skillet. Sauté shrimp with remaining Cajun seasoning for 2–3 minutes until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet, cooking until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream, scraping up browned bits. Stir and simmer until slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese (if using), return shrimp to skillet, and coat in sauce.
  7. Spoon shrimp and sauce over rested steaks. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ribeye for more marbling or filet for a leaner cut.
  • Adjust spice level with milder or spicier Cajun blends.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice or hot sauce to brighten the dish.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or sautéed greens for a full meal.
  • Use thawed frozen shrimp if fresh is unavailable.
