The best steak bites made with juicy sirloin cubes seared in garlic butter until perfectly golden. A simple and delicious steak recipe ready in minutes.
1 pound sirloin steak
2 teaspoons steak rub (or salt and pepper)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1–2 tablespoons butter
2–3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
Prepare the steak:
Rub the steak with steak seasoning (or salt and pepper) and let it rest for 10 minutes to absorb the flavor.
Cut the steak:
Slice the steak into 1-inch cubes.
Heat the skillet:
Place a cast iron skillet over medium heat for a few minutes until hot.
Add butter and garlic:
Add the olive oil, butter, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the butter melts and the garlic becomes fragrant.
Sear the steak bites:
Place the steak cubes in a single even layer in the skillet. Let them sear for about 1 minute without moving them.
Flip and finish cooking:
Turn the steak cubes using a spatula or fork and cook for 1–2 more minutes, until nicely seared and cooked to your preferred doneness. Avoid overcooking.
Rest and serve:
Remove the steak bites from the pan and let them rest for 1–2 minutes before serving.
Optional garnish:
Top with fresh herbs like parsley or thyme for extra flavor.
Use sirloin steak for tender and flavorful steak bites.
Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding the skillet.
For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a pinch of smoked paprika.
Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, roasted vegetables, or garlic butter sauce.
