Ingredients

Main Ingredients

20 large eggs

4 cups milk

2 teaspoons kosher salt

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

4 slices slightly dried bread, cubed

2 pounds sausage

Instructions

Prepare the Sausage

Brown the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat.

Drain excess fat and set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture

In an extra-large mixing bowl, crack and scramble the eggs.

Stir in the milk and kosher salt until well combined.

Add Bread, Cheese & Sausage

Cut the bread into small cubes and stir into the egg mixture.

Add shredded cheddar cheese and cooked sausage; mix thoroughly.

Bake

Generously grease a 13 × 18-inch baking pan.

Pour the mixture into the pan and spread evenly.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45–60 minutes, or until the center is set and top is lightly golden.

Serve

Cool slightly, slice into squares, and serve warm.

Notes

Perfect for meal prep: refrigerate the assembled casserole overnight, then bake fresh in the morning.

Recipe can be doubled—use two 13 × 18-inch pans.

Feel free to add peppers, onions, or spinach for extra flavor.

Substitute part of the cheddar with mozzarella or pepper jack for variation.
