Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough or 1 batch homemade dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg (for egg wash) or 2 tbsp melted butter
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread a thin layer of sauce, leaving 1-inch edges.
  4. Layer mozzarella and pepperoni over the sauce.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  6. Roll up jelly-roll style from the long side. Pinch seam and ends to seal.
  7. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush with egg wash or melted butter.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly, then slice and garnish with parsley or basil if desired.

Notes

  • Add cooked sausage, bell peppers, or mushrooms for variety.
  • Use hot pepperoni and red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Swap in provolone or cheddar for different flavors.
  • Add cream cheese under the sauce for a ‘stuffed crust’ effect.
  • Serve with marinara or garlic butter for dipping.
