Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup orzo

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 cups beef broth

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup mustard

Pickles, for garnish

Instructions

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.

Add the orzo, beef broth, ketchup, and mustard to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.

Garnish with sliced pickles and serve warm.

Notes

For extra cheesiness, add an additional 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese before serving.

You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.

If the orzo absorbs liquid too quickly, add a splash of broth to maintain a creamy texture.

Dill pickle slices add the classic cheeseburger flavor to the dish.
