Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen French fries (or homemade fries)
  • 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced or cubed
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter (divided)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or cheese blend
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)
  • Optional toppings: jalapeños, avocado slices, hot sauce, chipotle mayo

Instructions

  1. Cook fries according to package instructions (or bake homemade fries) until golden and crispy.
  2. Season steak with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Set aside to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and garlic. Sauté shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove from heat.
  4. Spread fries on a sheet pan or serving platter. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over fries.
  5. Return fries to the oven for 2–3 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Top with cooked steak and shrimp. Add sour cream, green onions, and any extra toppings you like.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Swap steak for grilled chicken, shredded pork, or carnitas for variety.
  • Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning or chili flakes for extra kick.
  • Use sweet potato fries for a sweet-savory flavor balance.
  • Drizzle chipotle mayo or garlic aioli on top for a gourmet twist.
  • Best enjoyed fresh—reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer to keep fries crispy.
