Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup hot fudge sauce or chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  6. Pour half the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Drizzle hot fudge sauce over the batter.
  8. Spread the remaining batter on top and swirl the fudge into the batter with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  9. Bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out mostly clean.
  10. Cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Add chopped walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
  • Try swirling in peanut butter or caramel sauce along with the hot fudge.
  • Use dark chocolate chips for a deeper chocolate flavor.
