Ingredients

200 grams halloumi cheese, sliced into 1 cm thick pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or dried thyme)

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

Add halloumi slices and fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.

Remove halloumi from the pan and place on a serving plate.

Drizzle honey evenly over the fried halloumi.

Sprinkle with fresh thyme and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add cracked black pepper or chili flakes.

Serve with warm pita, crusty bread, or fresh figs for a complete appetizer.

Best enjoyed immediately while the halloumi is hot and crispy.
