Ingredients

For the Filet Mignon

4 filet mignon steaks (68 oz each)

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp unsalted butter

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

For the Shrimp

12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on)

1 tbsp butter

½ tsp paprika

Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Creamy Garlic Herb Sauce

2 tbsp unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken or seafood broth

⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

1. Season the Steaks

Pat filets dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary or thyme if using.

2. Sear the Filets

Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. When hot and sizzling, add steaks.
Sear 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust to preference).
Transfer to a plate and loosely tent with foil to rest.

3. Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet, add butter. Season shrimp with paprika, salt, and pepper.
Cook 1–2 minutes per side, just until pink and lightly caramelized. Remove and set aside.

4. Start the Sauce

Lower heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant (do not brown).

5. Make It Creamy

Pour in broth and heavy cream, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes.

6. Finish the Sauce

Stir in Parmesan and Dijon (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
Simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.

7. Assemble & Serve

Place filets on plates, spoon sauce over the top, and nestle shrimp alongside.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes
