Ingredients

  • 12 oz uncooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 lb frozen fully-cooked meatballs
  • 24 oz marinara or pasta sauce
  • 3 cups water or broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Chopped parsley or basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour uncooked pasta into the dish and top with frozen meatballs.
  3. Add marinara sauce, water (or broth), Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and ensure pasta is submerged.
  4. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 35–40 minutes until pasta is tender.
  5. Uncover, sprinkle with mozzarella and parmesan, and bake for another 10–15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley or basil if desired.
