Juicy, flavorful, and seared to perfection—this copycat Texas Roadhouse ribeye steak is seasoned just right and finished with melted butter.
2 ribeye steaks
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon butter
Preheat grill or cast-iron skillet over high heat.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
Rub seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each ribeye steak.
Place steaks on hot grill or skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, top each steak with ½ tablespoon of butter and allow it to melt into the meat.
Remove steaks from heat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving to retain juices.
For best results, bring steaks to room temperature before cooking.
Letting the steak rest is essential for juicy, tender results.
Serve with steakhouse sides like mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, or a baked sweet potato.
Adjust spices to your preference—add cayenne for heat or smoked paprika for a richer flavor.
