Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 slider buns or dinner rolls (connected if possible)
  • 6 slices cheddar or American cheese (cut to fit)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
  • Mustard or mayo (optional, for spreading)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from heat.
  4. Slice slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected. Place bottom halves in prepared baking dish.
  5. Evenly spread the beef mixture over the bottom buns. Top with slices of cheese.
  6. Place top buns over the cheese. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5–7 minutes, until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly, slice, and serve.
