Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook diced apples with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until soft and caramelized. Let cool completely.
  2. In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Fold in the cooled apple mixture.
  5. Layer the ice cream mixture into a loaf pan, drizzling caramel sauce in between layers. Gently swirl with a knife.
  6. Cover and freeze for at least 6 hours or until firm.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith or sweet ones like Honeycrisp for best flavor.
  • Let ice cream sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before scooping.
  • For added crunch, fold in crushed graham crackers or shortbread before freezing.
