Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks

2 tablespoons blackened seasoning

Salt and black pepper, to taste

4 cloves garlic, minced

4 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

Instructions

Preheat grill: Heat a grill or grill pan over high heat.

Season steaks: Rub both sides of each ribeye with blackened seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Make garlic butter base: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes.

Grill steaks: Cook steaks on the hot grill for about 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your preferred doneness.

Make cheese sauce: While steaks are grilling, pour heavy cream into the garlic butter. Bring to a simmer.

Melt cheese: Gradually stir in shredded cheese, whisking until smooth and melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Rest and serve: Let steaks rest for a few minutes after grilling. Drizzle with the melted cheese sauce and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy kick, use pepper jack cheese or add a pinch of cayenne to the cheese sauce.

Let steaks rest 5–10 minutes before slicing for juicier results.

This sauce also works great over veggies or baked potatoes!
