Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or homemade biscuit dough
  • 1/2 lb breakfast sausage
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional toppings: chopped green onions, crumbled bacon, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
  2. Press biscuit dough evenly across the pan to form a crust. Bake for 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  3. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle flour over sausage, stir to coat, then slowly whisk in milk. Cook until thickened into a creamy gravy. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In another pan, scramble eggs with butter until just set.
  6. Spread sausage gravy over the baked crust. Top with scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
  7. Bake for another 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Cool slightly, slice, and top with green onions, bacon, or hot sauce as desired.

Notes

  • Swap cheddar for pepper jack for a spicier version.
  • Add sautéed vegetables or hash browns for variety.
  • Use crescent roll dough as an alternative crust.
  • Oven reheating maintains crispness better than microwaving.
