Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • For the glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with 1 tsp sugar; let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, eggs, melted butter, and yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add flour, salt, and cinnamon to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth; place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. Roll dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Spread softened butter, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the dough.
  7. Roll into a log and slice into 12 rolls. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  9. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
