Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce or hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water or chicken broth

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster/hoisin sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar/honey until combined.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch with water or broth to create a slurry.
  4. Add the slurry to the sauce and stir well.
  5. Pour into stir fry during the final 1–2 minutes of cooking, stirring until sauce thickens and coats ingredients.
