1 teaspoon salt (be sure to use Mediterranean Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Salt)
1 red cayenne pepper (use only if you like a little spice!)
1/4 cup olive oil (you may need more)
Why is it important to use Mediterranean Sea Salt, Celtic Sea Salt, or Himalayan Pink/Red/White Salt? These whole food salts contain lots of naturally occuring minerals. They are more healthy for you than regular processed table salt. Table salt has been stripped of minerals during processing, which manufacturers then sell to supplement companies. Table salt has all of its minerals removed, which would otherwise help to balance blood pressure. Therefore, table salt can cause blood pressure fluctuations. Regular table salt also contains additives that are designed to make it more free-flowing like talc, potassium or sodium ferrocyanide, and silica aluminate. Aluminum can lead to neurological disorders and talc if inhaled or applied to genitals in women is a known carcinogen-- inconclusive evidence about ingestion so just wouldn't recommend it. According to current regulations, processed table salt can contain up to 2% anti-caking agents. The bottom line is the Mediterranean Sea Salt, Celtic Sea Salt, or Himalayan Pink Red or White Salts are closer to a whole food than the processed table salt. The less processed the better.
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to add more olive oil to make it a smoother consistency.
