8 slices of whole wheat bread or whole grain gluten free bread
4 eggs (beaten)
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 cup whole organic milk or almond milk
4 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
Warm up a skillet or grill. You will prepare it by either spraying with olive oil or melting butter or ghee on the pan.
In a bowl mix the beaten eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and milk.
Take a slice of bread and soak in the milk mixure until bread is moist. Then place on a prepared griddle or frying pan and cook until brown on both sides.
To make the syrup, you'll take 1/2 the strawberries and place in a blender or food processor. Very slowly add in water until a thin consistency. Then, place the syrup in a small cooking pot. On medium-high heat bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 2-4 minutes until it becomes a thicker, syrupy consistency.
You'll top the toasted bread with fresh strawberries and then drizzle the warm syrup on top.
